It was 2:52 AM and Dr. John Smidith had escaped from the White House with plans for a top secret weapon. For him, this was a small success compared to the victory he'd have by creating the weapon.
3 days later . . .
It was 2:52 AM and I, Zachary Reitman, had escaped from my house with the conclusion to a case. I was a detective. My friend Travis rode up on his bike. Travis said that some plans for some machine were missing from the White House. I decided to look into the case. Nothing is ever "Just Missing" in the White House. It might have been stolen. Finding the case was a small victory compared to the one I'd have solving the case.
I figured that if he needed parts for his machine he'd go to Belkville Parts, just down the street from me. They had the worst service. They wouldn't notice Superman if he flew by.
I called on my SSLAD, Super Secret Limo and Driver, and hopped into the cab with Travis.
There was a man dressed in black, screaming at a henchman in the car, saying to trash a chocolate bar. We picked up the candy, scanned it so we could find it later and threw it back in the villain's car, right before it took off. Travis noticed a license plate saying Florida and left me, searching for the crook in Florida.
I tracked down the candy and found our villain in New York. He boarded a ship called The Wisconsin, bound for Georgia. "Full speed to Georgia," I directed my driver.
We tracked our crooks to a warehouse where Smidith was writing a ransom. It would be pinned somewhere or other.
I couldn't call police I was thinking when I spotted some tickets for Disney World! Of course, I'll just prepare a little surprise to end this evil man's vacation early.
I took my cab to Disney World and found, by coincidence, Travis! We found Smidith, called the cops and had him arrested. We even had time to hang around in Disney World!
Zachary Retiman is currently a 5th grader at Timberlane Junior School in Pennington NJ.
