Catherine Called Birdy

This was an excellent book.It highlights life in the 1290-1291 period. This terribly funny book by Karen Cushmen is about Catherine called Birdy, or Little Bird. She tells her life to her diary, which is the book. Her father is a terrible man who wants to wed her to some rich pig (a pig-like man, not a real pig.) But Catherine has her own ideas! For example, for one suitor she puts mouse bones in her hair! I recommend this book to anyone who likes mishaps and funny things.The fact that it's in diary form makes it more believable. It really gives you a feel for the Middle Ages.
