The Kagonesti, by Douglas Niles

Douglas Niles creates a new land in the imagination of the reader with his description and details that he puts in this book. He prefectly combines it with a tale of exciting adventure and battles to keep the reader on their toes.

This books is actually three tales about a wild elfin race called Kagonesti. It tells the story of three of the elfin leaders, the pathfinders, and their struggle to keep the Kagonesti race alive. Aided with only the ram's horn to call the wild elves together and the ever faithful allies the silver dragons the pathfinders must learn to survive. With the ever looming threats of evil dragons, humans, the Silvanesti (the elves haughty cousins) and finally the biggest disaster of all, the pathfinders must lead their people out of death to a new life.

I strongly recommed this book to anyone who loves nonstop suspense and adventure right from the start. You will be swept away in a world of fantasy as this book will draw you into its plot. This book could start you on a journey that will bring you to read many of the Dragon Lance series.
