The City Who Fought, by S.M. Sterling & Anne McCaffery

The Citv Who Fought is about a space station that is about to be taken over by pirates. It starts out with the resistance on a planet fighting the space pirates, who are called the Kolnari. The resistance force leaves the planet and escapes with heavy casualties. The group barely makes it to a space station run by a brain with the capabilities of a super computer. This brain happens to play war games as a hobby. The resistance force warns the station about the Kolnari, and helps them prepare for the Kolnari's attack.

S. M. Sterling shows his talents as a superb military writer. He provides great detail about the weapons used in the battles which is especially appealing to the military reader. Anne McCaffery comes through once again to develop an amazingly realistic science fiction novel with a thrilling plot and exciting characters. Together, Sterling and McCaffery have written a great action packed novel which is a must for anyone with interest in space or the future.
