Lynx Books- 1989 Quinn, the new girl in town at Palm Beach Preparatory for Girls is very temperamental. She isn't shy at all and she says what's on her mind, which gets her off on the wrong foot. When she is invited to Cara Knowles's ( a.k.a. Knowles It All) party she makes the mistake of telling off the girls in Cara's clique , saying that her brother is in a band, announcing that she lives in (dirty town) Nueva Beach,CA., and saying that Cara's gardener is her friend's dad. Then Cara loses the watch that her father gave her for her birthday and she blames Quinn for stealing it. Quinn has to clear her name. Esme Farrell, Quinn's newest friend spies on Cara for Quinn. Will Palm Beach ever be the same? Sansevere makes the characters come alive with descriptive action and bold character attitudes. The characters sound like some of the people I know. This book is only one of the Palm Beach Prep series and I can't wait to read Stolen Kisses, the next book in the series. This is an excellent beginning to a never-ending drama.
