Dell Publishing, 1989 This beautifully told story is about the feelings of a young girl, Aurora Williams, who finds herself leaving her best friend and boyfriend to live on the moon, which is inhabited by only 750 people. What if there are no cute boys her age? This is a book about a girl who is finding her identity and the meaning of true friendship. The book has a wonderful mixture of intertwined emotions and loyalty. Aurora is loyal to her family and friends on Earth, but she also wants to fit in on the moon and have a boyfriend. This Place Has No Atmosphere is a great book if you don't mind a slow beginning.
