Runway Zero-Eight
by Arthur Hailey & John Castle

Bantam Books Copyright 1958. This long, drawn out book, is not as good as they make the back of it seem. It is supposed to be an exciting, traumatic flying experience. It's really only a very long flight, in which 7 passengers get food poisoning, including the captain and first officer. Somehow, just out of the blue, there just happen to be a doctor and an old half experienced World War II pilot that knows enough about flying so that he can fly the airplane. This book is totally overblown, and has no real value to it. If you really want to skip a book, this is the one to skip.
