Inshore species, sometimes found in surf, common in estuaries and bays; adults offshore
Size 2-4 ft
Sandbar Shark

Nearshore fish typically found at depths ranging from 60-200 ft.
Size common to 6 ft.
Bonnethead Shark
Family Carcharhinidae, Requiem Sharks
Inshore species found in bays and estuaries.
Size commonly 3-4 ft.
Scalloped Hammerhead
Family Carcharhinidae, Requiem Sharks
Both Offshore and Inshore.
Size common to 6 ft., can reach 14 ft.
Ladyfish
Family Elopidae, Tarpons
Inshore fish, in bays and estuaries; occasionally enters freshwater, occurring in tidal pools and canals; often forms large schools and harasses bait at the surface.
Size 2-3 lbs.
Tarpon
Family Elopidae, Tarpons
Primarily Inshore fish, although adult fish spawn Offshore where the ribbon-like larval stage of the fish can be found.
Size most angler catches 40-50 lbs.
