Port Ontario Tackle Shop is a family owned and operated tackle shop located on Route 3 in Port Ontario NY about 40 miles north of Syracuse NY. We are located about 1/4 of a mile from the Lake itself.
We are a fully equipped tackle shop specializing in Great Lakes salmon and trout tackle. In 1996 we have greatly expanded our selection of walleye plugs and bait harnesses. Some of the major manufacturers we stock are:

We also handle Daiwa, Shimano, Silstar, Quantum and Shakespeare rods and reels and have the largest selection of Witchcraft tape anywhere in the area (over 200 different styles and colors).Want lists are always welcome, because if we do not have an item in stock, we will try to find it for you.
We also carry a spoon which is manufactured locally called THE WEAPON which has proven to be one of the most productive spoons not only on Lake Ontario, but on many freshwater systems where trout are taken. Last year our green-glow diamond Weapon was one of the hottest salmon spoons in Sodus and Fair Haven and they retail for only $2.69; now compare that to most any other spoon.
We also carry the widest selection of live bait in the area, including minnows and crayfish. Port Ontario Tackle also has a full line of panfish, bass, and northern pike tackle.

Port Ontario Smokery, located at the tackle shop, has a local reputation for preparing the most succulent smoked fish in the area. We can smoke your catch overnight so you can pick it up the next day. At $2 per pound it is a bargain compared to either supermarkets or catalogs (plus it is your own fish!). We always have samples ready for you to try in the shop.
