Shad Fishing Capital of the World!

ADVISORY: to ensure the restoration of the Lehigh River shad run, the tournament discourages fishing in the vicinity of the fish ladders and the entire Lehigh River.

Access Areas:

  1. Martins Creek access area (PA):
    Owned and maintained by Pennsylvania Power and Light Company for free use by the public. Facilities include parking, gently sloping sand and gravel ramp, picnic area, and trash removal. Closed at night.
  2. Sandts Eddy access area (PA):
    Boat ramp and mooring maintained by the Pennsylvania Fish Commission. Additional facilities include limited parking and picnic area.
  3. Frost Hollow Park access (PA):
    A hand-launch canoe access maintained by the Northampton County Parks Dept. Parking for 12 cars.
  4. Eddyside Park access (PA):
    City of Easton maintains park with foot entry access to river. Parking for 25 cars, trash disposals and picnic area.
  5. Easton Municipal Beach access (PA):
    Foot entry access to river with parking for 12 cars and trash removal.
  6. Phillipsburg access area (NJ):
    Municipal facility offers a concrete boat ramp, limited parking and trash disposal.
  7. Easton Scott Park access (PA):
    The City of Easton maintains a paved boat ramp with limited parking, trash disposal, and picnic area. Water and sanitary facilities provided for length of tournament. (Weigh Station)
  8. Hugh Moore Park / Delaware Canal access (PA):
    Foot access to river maintained by Hugh Moore Park / City of Easton. Limited parking and portable restrooms.

Parking Information

Easton

  1. On-street metered parking. Regulations on meters apply.
  2. Easton Parking Garage, 3rd and Ferry Streets.

Phillipsburg

  1. On-street metered parking. Regulations on meters apply.
  2. Limited riverfront parking both sides of Free Bridge (east and west).

Practice Catch-And-Release!!

The tournament committee encourages the release of all fish that are not eligible for prizes or will not be consumed.
