The American Music Party can be heard on WEST/AM1400 every Saturday morning from 10am-2pm. |
Prizes will be awarded on Sunday, April 30 during "COOK OUT" in Scott Park and checks will be awarded during Closing Ceremony. The festivities will kick off at Scott Park. **NOTE: winners are asked to pick up checks during the "COOK OUT". WINNERS are also reminded to CASH CHECKS WITHIN 30 Days of Issue. No registrant may win more than ONE daily first prize, ONE daily second prize, ONE daily third prize and ONE OVERALL prize for the duration of the tournament.
Women's ChallengeAll women who are registered in the Tournament are eligible for the Women's Challenge. Separate money is collected for the Women's Challenge, as not to interfere with the prize money for the overall winners. This is just a challenge for the women. The registrant women are also available to win all day prizes and overall prizes for the Tournament. We encourage any and all of our registrants to promote "new challenges" to the committee with sponsors. Please contact committee members with any suggestions you may have.

The Shad Tournament welcomes ACE (Arts Community of Easton) to this, our 24th Annual Event. ACE is partially funded by a grant from the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts, a partnership initiative between local arts organizations and the PA Council on the Arts (PPA), a state agency and the National Endowment for the Arts, a Federal agency. PPA is administered locally by the Berks Art Council. Activities will include: Children's Paper Mache workshops for the "Doo-Dah Parade" prize winning entries, Children's "Shad Poet" workshops, week long community mural project with artists displaying works in progress. Artist will also be displaying "Shad Art" in storefronts of local Merchants. |
To ensure the restoration of the Lehigh River "Shad Run", the tournament committee discourages fishing in the vicinity of the fish ladders and the entire Lehigh River. The cooperation and support of our registrants will not only help to return a larger population of the North American shad to the Lehigh River, but will help ensure the tournament's future.
